A cargo port terminal is a facility where products are loaded or unloaded between ships and land, either, for further transport or storage. They are usually situated at the edge of an ocean or sea, river, or lake. Cargo port terminals often have cargo-handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts for use in loading/unloading of ships. They are often located near processing or land-shipping facilities.
