Faits

  • Most of the building is U-shaped in plan, with a 65' x 65' light court opening to the south.
  • In 2000 the building was converted to loft condominiums, and a new wood-paneled lobby was installed for approximately $1 million.
  • Originally completed in 1911 as a 13-story building by Marshall & Fox. In 1927 an upper addition by Graham Anderson Probst & White added 7 more stories.
  • This building served as the Standard Oil Company of Indiana's headquarters until its new offices in the Standard Oil Building (now the Aon Center) were built.
  • The roof used to support a 70 x 76-foot Standard Oil logo, which was billed in 1956 as the largest neon emblem in the United States.
