  • The PWC Tower at Commercial bay is the tallest building in the city of Auckland and New Zealand since it was topped out 2019.
  • Commercial Bay describes the new precinct on Auckland's waterfront comprising five connected office towers, including the PwC Tower.
  • At the heart of these five office towers is the Commercial Bay retail centre. It's striking, open-air design provides an urban destination for Aucklanders and visitors and is home to over 120 local and international retailers, health and beauty amenity as well as bars, restaurants and eateries
  • The Building's prime location provides short direct acsses to core public transport options for its 10,000+ workers with bus, train and ferry hubs only moments away.
  • The circa 1,350sqm floor plate is exceptionally efficient with a side core and minimal columns, allowing for a range of working typologies.
  • The Building was topped out in June of 2019 and was orignally set to open in on the 28th of March 2020 just days before a nationwide lockdown so the opening was postponed to June 2020 when It was finally opened with the ropes being cut by the Prime Minister of New Zealand.
  • The office tower is New Zealand's most sustainable high-rise office building and currently holds a 5 Star Green Building and Green Star Design Rating. High performance glazing was specified to include a ceramic frit below the low-E coating, a sophisticated process only available from two glass manufacturers globally at the time of construction.
  • The Building contains New Zealand's fastest elevators traveling at just over 8M a secound allowing occupants to get from the bottom floor to the highest floor in 22.5 secounds.
  • Commercial Bay cost NZD$720 million to construct. However, the value of the whole development will be just north of NZD$1 billion, so the development profit is about NZD$280m.
  • The tower has been built to some of the highest earthquake and wind resilient standards in New Zealand, as would be expected of an emergency hospital.
