  • Because it lies within 1000 feet of the high water line of nearby Lake Calhoun, it required a variance to be constructed above 2.5 floors.
  • The proposed 6-story, 83-ft building did not receive the support of the local neighborhood group, ECCO.
  • The City of Minneapolis Planning Commission voted to approve the variances needed for the 6-story building on September 27, 2004.
  • This is the first multi-unit residential building in Minneapolis to have a green roof with gardens, reducing runoff.
  • The units range from 1,300 to 3,000 square feet and were offered as vanilla shells. Each buyer contracted independently with approved designers to create their own unit.
  • The vanilla shell units were offered for $700,000 to $1.6 million.
