  • The building originally had a clock tower on the southeast corner.
  • The Old State Printing Building was a printing house for pre-World War I daily and weekly newspapers before its conversion into offices in 1926.
  • Considered to be Harrisburg's first mid-rise building, it was the tallest multi-story building in the city from 1875 until 20 North Second Street was constructed in 1906.
  • E. Z. Wallower, a prominent local entrepreneur who later helped develop the Penn-Harris Hotel and the YWCA Building, was in charge of construction.
  • It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
