  • It would have featured the first green roof in downtown St. Paul.
  • By late 2005, the proposal had grown to 35-40 floors. It would have included the rebuilding and preservation of the 3-story Public Safety Building at East 10th & Minnesota Streets.
  • As marketing efforts began in summer 2006, the height of the building had been reduced to 33 floors.
  • The other remaining proposal was a 15-story condominium building and possible grocery store by K. Hovnanian Companies of New Jersey.
  • The developer dropped this tower proposal in June 2008.
  • It would have become the tallest solely owner-occupied residential building in St. Paul, surpassing The Pointe of Saint Paul, catercorner across 10th & Minnesota Streets. The nearby Jackson Tower has both renter- and owner-occupied residences.
  • The City of St. Paul announced in October 2004 that three proposals had been received for a redevelopment of the Public Safety Building block, bounded by Robert and Minnesota, from 10th to 11th Streets.
  • This proposal was selected by the City of St. Paul in February 2005.
  • The next proposal came from Hines Interests LP, the largest owner of office space in downtown Minneapolis. Hines proposed an 11-story office building for the State of Minnesota and an 8-story condominium building.
  • The Hines proposal fell through in November 2004 after the Minnesota Department of Human Services declined to lease space in the office component. The state agency decided to maintain a lease at 444 Lafayette Road in addition to their new space at the Elmer L. Andersen Human Services Building, directly across Minnesota Street.
