Faits

  • In a complex, $32 million deal in May 2007, Daniels Development Company purchased the property of the First United Methodist Church, to preserve the church and build a 43-story office building.
  • The developer lists the structural height as 660 feet, however the elevation drawings indicate height varies from 645-6" at the Fifth Avenue main entrance to 680'-6" along Columbia Street where exposed lower levels start at 137'-0" climbing to 817'-6" above sea level.
  • Upon completion, it will be Seattle's tallest building constructed since 1990 and the first ever in the city designed to LEED Gold standards.
  • Each of the four triangles in the faceted frame facade is 165 feet.
  • Plans call for a building that is smallest at its base with each floor a different size. At one point it comes within 4 feet of the sanctuary's domed roof. Steel braces separating its triangular planes help hold the building up.
  • The tower will house the SLS Hotel on floors 5 through 15.
  • F5 Networks has agreed to a 14.5 year lease of the entire 516,000 sq. ft. of office space portion of the building. The name has been changed to F5 Tower.
