Lyndon Township is a civil township located in the very northwestern corner of Washtenaw County. The township is exclusively rural, and includes no other municipalities, incorporated or otherwise. The township consists of rolling hills and lakes, with a focus on outdoor recreation, and includes the only "Wilderness" zoned land in Lower Michigan. In fact, 52% of the townships land is owned by the state or the public with most of that land being designated parklands. The townships most prominent human construction is the WPXD (formerly WBSX) TV Tower constructed in 1981, which ranks amongst Michigan's tallest structures.
